We're looking for an Operations Director to join our Kier Design and Engineering team based in Birmingham. In this role you'll take significant operation responsibility for the team and will form part of the KDE senior management team. Travel to Salford, Bristol and other design hubs will be required so a full UK driving licence is an essential requirement.
Kier Design and Engineering (KDE) is an in-house consultancy comprising over 700 highly skilled engineers, environmental specialists, project managers, and architects. Together, they deliver some of the most innovative and impactful engineering projects in the construction industry. Operating collaboratively, the KDE team works with both internal and external clients to ensure projects are safe, straightforward to construct, timely, high-quality, and construction focused. Location: Birmingham - remote working available, with travel to offices required
Contract: Permanent Fulltime with some flexibility on hours
What will you be responsible for?
As an Operations Director, you will report to the Managing Director of KDE and will be responsible for the operational management of the KDE resource.
Your day to day will include:
- Responsible for key P&L accounts within the business
- Accountable for the growth of the teams in line with the pipeline and work winning strategy
- Support the delivery of strategic tenders

- Experience in similar role within construction/infrastructure/engineering services
