Hours: 45 hours per week
What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Engineer you'll be working within the Project team, supporting them in specifying, scheduling and managing the onsite engineering resources (people, and physical assets) ensuring the technical compliance of the assigned scheme to the design specification, implementing the plan safely, on time and to the required quality while maximising customer satisfaction and gross profit.
Your day to day will include:
- Managing safety, health, environmental and quality SHEQ) matters for areas of direct responsibility and pre-construction / construction to close out, meeting all contractual requirements
- Supporting the Construction Manager and Site team, monitoring use of resources in liaison with the Construction Manager delivering the project safely to budget, programme, and obligations, assisting the Construction Manager / Projects Delivery Manager in planning and allocating appropriate supervisory resource
- Collaborating with the Commercial team in raising EWN's and CEs aiding with change control, evaluating subcontractors, advising the Project Manager and the Commercial Manager accordingly
- Providing daily progress reports, contemporaneous site records and photos, helping with weekly and monthly reports
- Working with the scheme engineers on constructability issues during the planning phase of the project and managing the resource allocation for early construction activities that may take place during this phase
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Engineer is great for you if:
- Hold SMSTS or SSSTS and can drive / hold a manual driving licence and have relevant London highways experience
- Good knowledge of TMAN, PAA / PA processes and TfL traffic management handbook / standards
- Proficient in putting people to work safely
